How to identify/recognize fake job offer?

How to identify/recognize fake job offer or job vacancy?

You will really feel excited when you got an email of job offer letter in your inbox. Also you will be surprised that you have not applied for that job through any portal and you have not send any resume even you have not attended any interview also.
So if all these doubts are coming to your mind, then be careful as most probably this is scam mail and trying to cheat you.
Analyze that mail carefully and definitely you will find loopholes in that.

Also follow below information which will help you decide it is fake job offer letter or not-
No Interview:

Generally employers offer job to person after analyzing candidate properly. Means first they will ask you resume, then they will schedule interview (telephonic or face-to-face) and if ok then will ask you educational certificate, experience letters and many more. If finds everything ok then only their HR will call you discuss further information like salary, location, designation etc.

If you have not gone through these steps and someone is offering you job offer letter then be careful and check authenticity. Maximum chance of that is scam mail and trying to cheat you.

Offering High Salary and numerous benefits:
Even they are not checking your experience and they are offering high salary and numerous benefits , they it will be a scam job offer.

Generic Email Address:
Scammers generally use generic email address like yahoo.com, hotmail.com, gmail.com instead of genuine company id while sending fake job offers.
Any real Employer while sending job offer, they use their official company email ids only.

Check TO, CC and BCC:
Scammers generally sent fake offers to all means you will not find your email id there in TO or in CC.

Spelling and grammar errors:
All emails received from the company that is offering you the job should be composed in a professional and formal manner. The email with the offer letter should follow appropriate email etiquette. Spelling mistakes and grammatical errors are a red flag that indicate unprofessionalism as well as lack of knowledge. This includes exclamation marks within the offer letter as well as random capitalization of words.

 Wrong and Non-Existence Company:
When you receive an offer letter from a company, one of the first things to do is conduct research on the company. This includes obtaining information about the company’s mission, services and presence in the industry. In the event that you find no information, it is likely to be a fake scam created by nefarious individuals who wish to con job seekers.

Cash Deposit Required:

The easiest method of spotting a job offer letter is by spotting a money transfer clause. They will ask you to deposit money to make arrangement for travel and visa etc.

An employer who requires the individual to transfer a certain amount of money into the company’s account is a definite sign of a job scam. If you see this in your job offer letter, it is important to report the job and ensure that others do not fall victim to the same scam.

A company will never charge job aspirants a fee or ask for an interview security deposit. Very rarely do headhunters take money. Hence, the demand for a fee deposit should indicate the offer may not be genuine.

Cross Check:

Still you have doubt then Cross-check any job offer by contacting the HR department of the organization. Get the contact details from the company website to contact them. Do not use the contact details given in the email for such verification.
